Support Policy

ITASCA Technical Support

ITASCA Technical Support is designed to assist users with questions related to the software's functionality and usage. This includes help with installation, understanding program features, and troubleshooting specific modeling issues. Support is typically provided via email and is available to current perpetual license holders and active maintenance and subscription holders.

Limitations of Technical Support

While ITASCA strives to provide timely and helpful support, there are limitations to what can be addressed. The support team cannot provide geotechnical engineering advice, such as interpreting results or recommending material properties. Additionally, they cannot modify user models or offer guidance on meshing or model setup for specific projects. The primary focus of Technical Support is to ensure that the software is functioning correctly and to help users understand and utilize its capabilities effectively.

For Subscription Licenses

Support and bug fixes are provided for the most recent subversion, the most recent major release version, and the previous major release version for 12 months after the release of the current major version. No bug fixes are provided for subversions preceding the most recent.

For Perpetual Licenses

Support and bug fixes are provided for the current major release version and the major version immediately preceding it for 12 months after release.
