What's new in the latest release of MassFlow?

NEW Gravitational Rock Flow
The new MassFlow feature in 3DEC allows for gravitational rock flow modeling outside the caving propagation zone. This enables the simulation of subsidence in open-pits during and after transitions to underground mining, as well as the collapse of air gaps and abandoned areas in underground operations. By modeling the gravitational flow of rock through Rilling and Collapse behaviors, users can gain valuable insights into the stability and dynamics of mining environments.
NEW Constitutive Model Curved Mohr-Coulomb
The traditional Mohr-Coulomb model oversimplifies failure, risking safety overestimation in low-stress zones. ITASCA’s new Curved Mohr-Coulomb model changes everything! It’s efficient, flexible, and features a nonlinear failure envelope with just three parameters or custom curves. Plus, it supports linear, bilinear, Hoek-Brown, and Griffith laws—ideal for automatic factor of safety calculations!
Discover NEW AI Assistant
Integrated into V9.2 products, our AI assistant is trained on ITASCA's extensive documentation and scripting capabilities. Clients can ask questions about the software, including how to script specific solutions, and receive expert guidance. With support in 95 languages, this feature greatly enhances the software’s accessibility and usability worldwide.
